Recently, I came to a realization that asking others to pray for me is very important before I leave for Africa and while I am there. When I think of Africa, I think of how beautiful every nation is. I also think of how hospitable the people are. One thing that I forgot to think of is the opposite. Physically, the nations are beautiful, but spiritually, it's very hard to describe. I guess you can do some research on your own.
I was talking to a good friend of mine about being prepared before my departure. When I think of being prepared, I think of the Bible training, a prepared heart when giving my farewell speech, goodbyes to my friends and family, and many others things. Recently though, God has been nudging my heart to ask for your prayers regarding the spiritual realm of where I will be. Yes, there is persecution in Africa, but that is not what I am scared of. When praying for a prepared heart, I mean that I will be facing many demonic attacks and will encounter evil forces.
I guess when praying for a prepared heart isn't exactly what I thought it would be. If you can, please pray for me in this area because it is one thing that frightens me a lot.

The population and the Church in Africa is growing rapidly. Out of the one billion people in Africa, many of them are youth. While many of the youth have been exposed to the Gospel, there is a great need in providing spiritual nourishment to them. It is my responsibility to develop Christ-centered youths among the Christ-centered churches in Uganda through discipleship.
