Psalm 20:1-9
May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May He send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
May He remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. (Selah)
May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests.
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers him from His Holy Heaven with the saving power of His right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
O LORD, save the king! Answer us when we call!

African Soil
It's been a great two weeks so far here at training, but on the 19th of October is when we will complete this training. The sad part is having to say goodbye to the friends I've made here. I've met several individuals that have shared with me many insights, to encourage me in many things, whether those are spiritual battles or my personal physical struggles. I've also met some individuals who have a huge passion for the children and youth, and it's great because it goes to show that the next generation of leaders are caring for the younger generation. Actually one thing that I've learned here in Africa, is that the culture, and even in the church, shows a greater interest and spends more resource on the older generation and invests less on the children and the youth.
An encouragement for you is to not give up reaching out to the children and the youth, because it is very important for them to know the redemption story of the cross which Jesus Christ died on for our sins. They are the future generation, and how we treat them and invest in them will effect what will happen in the latter years. So please continue to pursue and pray for the children and youth of your location of ministry.
